Couples will get to argue their point for same-sex marriage before the 9th Court of Appeals on Monday and What’s Your Point?, invited Jim Davis, Las Vegas family law attorney to discus why the upcoming case on Monday about marriage equality was in the works. Jim explained that Nevada was following the lead of other states in filing the marriage equality challenge. It gets heard on Monday at 9th District in San Fran Cisco, together with cases from Idaho and Hawaii. It is expected to pass. The justices may not actually rule until the New Year and then Jim Davis expects a stay for at least 25 days before marriage license may be issued in counties in Nevada. They discussed Louisiana, where a judge recently upheld the ban on same-sex marriage. Nobody was surprised. The expectation is that the bill will pass the 9th District by New Years.
